HANDS by SUE BEST

My choice for the picture of the month is Sue Best’s “Hands”. Much effort has gone into the framing and positioning of the pair of hands, with the purple leaf superbly positioned. The contrasting colours of the background grass and foliage neatly split the image in two horizontally, whilst the almost symmetrical hands form a vertical line through the image. The rather plain surface of the stonework provides a further contrast to the complex natural textures of the background. Very satisfying.
