  Visit to Salt Lake quarry

  14:00Salt Lake quarry, near Ribblehead.

  Salt Lake quarry was originally used as a source of limestone by the Midland Railway while building the S&C. It's now a nature reserve, with lots of interest in quite a small area. Be aware that it's liable to be wet and muddy, and quite uneven underfoot.
